St. Veronica’s Photography Pop-Up Exhibition:
NEW ORLEANS, LA - Wednesday, June 24, 2015
In honor of our patron saint’s Feast Day, St Veronica’s Photography Gallery will be hosting a pop-up exhibition that celebrates the Polaroid process! Come out and celebrate with us on Sunday, July 12, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at 1173 Magazine Street (Magazine and Erato).
The exhibition will feature selected work by Thom Bennett, Richard McCabe, Seth Boonchai, Blake Boyd, David Armentor and Jeff Lamb.
We will have a host of Instant film demonstrations such as a hands-on Polaroid portrait studio, photographic work created from the 20x24 Polaroid camera, Impossible Project instant lab stations and an 8x10 instant film photo booth.
St. Veronica’s Photography Gallery is named after the patron saint of photography. Our gallery currently exists online in order to promote 21st century lens-based artists using antiquated photographic processes to achieve their vision. Working in these alternative processes helps to preserve the earliest photographic technologies and craftwork while exploring contemporary issues in a unique voice.
