Much like the humidity of New Orleans, you can find Thom Bennett all over the city. Thom, longtime member and past president of the New Orleans Photo Alliance, is the featured photographer for week two of the Photo Crusades.
Thom is a local photographer known in many circles. His latest work, “Signposts in a Strange Land,” was recently turned into a chapbook, which he discussed online with Pack/Peel/Pour and Ain’t-Bad. This body of work that Thom describes as “a photographic exploration of empty vernacular signage along the backroads of the South,” is a black and white exploration of places left behind.
