A crusade is defined as an expedition or a determined attempt to achieve something one believes in strongly. This week, the Photo Crusades showcases Sesthasak Boonchai, who has made photography his own storytelling crusade.
Sesthasak uses photography to explore the world around him. Each photograph is focused - a piece of art that tells a huge story through its simplicity. His collection called The Stories are Real allows the viewer to create that story through his or her own interpretation.
Sesthasak is a graduate of the University of New Orleans, past president of the New Orleans Photo Alliance, and co-founder of Pack Peel Pour. You can see his work at the Ogden Museum as well as the New Orleans Museum of Art.
Let’s see how Sesthasak’s storytelling skills translate into this week’s theme of the Photo Crusades
